The Ford Mustang GT is a cornerstone of American automotive history which was introduced in 1964 as 1965 model revolutionizing the sports car. The GT stands for “Grand touring,” emphasizing its sporty and powerful nature which it quickly gained popularity and became an icon of American muscle cars.

During the first generation which was between (1964-1973), The Mustang was introduced together with the GT package featuring a more powerful engine, enhanced suspension and aesthetic upgrades. The second generation (1974-1978) Responded to the oil crisis at the time with a smaller, more fuel-efficient design, although less powerful than its predecessor. As time continued to advance ,the Mustang underwent the other generations (Third, Fourth and Fifth) where new features and improvements were made in the Mustang until the current Sixth generation (2015-present) which continues to innovate with advanced technology, improved dynamics, and global availability solidifying the Mustang GT’s place in the modern era of automotive excellence.

depending on the model year and specific configuration.

In the market, the starting price of a new Ford Mustang GT in 2024 is $44000 which is 5.6M in Kenyan shillings but the price varies depending on the model of the Mustang like for example the most expensive Mustang is the fully loaded Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 which its price can surpass $1000000 which is 12.8M in Kenyan shillings.
